I am happy in Atlanta but it I never thought Paris would be some
kind of Disneyland for me. I will never be as happier as I am.
In my father’s world of writing cliché novels and killing the
protagonist in the story, he became famous, and is now working in Hollywood for
a movie as a book adaptation. I was happy in Atlanta but then my father just
loves to steal it away from me and ruin my entire existence. For the sake of
conformity, he let me move to Paris and study there for my high school years in
an American boarding school. My name is Anna Oliphant.
Hours had passed by when I bid goodbyes to my parents especially
my mom, it seems like she doesn't want to let me go – she was crying and I did
too – but she had to. I was in hysterics on my first night in my school, I was
sobbing on my pillow when someone knocked, I opened it and found a big girl –
who lives next to my room – and heard every cry that I made. She invited me
into her room and I knew that she belongs to the higher years and even have a
group of friends – Josh, St. Clair and Rashmi – and oh, her name is Meredith,
but she likes to be called Mer. Many weeks had passed and I am beginning to be
a part of their group, we eat together, hang out on weekends and even have sole
conversation with them. But I really got close with Etienne; he toured me
around Paris, brought me to his favorite place in all of Paris and kissed me in
Paris.
Etienne St. Clair, dark brown and messy hair, it’s an artist hair,
beautiful hair – it’s the first thing
that I noticed about everyone – an English accent, no one can ever resist an
English accent. He had a girlfriend (Well, I did have but together with my best
friend, they betrayed me) but I know that they’re slowly drifting it’s just
that Etienne just didn't want to let go because he also needs a family and
Ellie was a family to him. He was once in great depression when he knew his
mother was diagnosed with cancer, as much as he loves his mother so much, his
father didn't allowed him to go home and visit his Mom. All his problems were piled up, from his
relationship to his controlling father, and I was always there to comfort him
and he was ready to speak up to me whenever he wants to. And when he got all
over it one by one, he began to slowly cheer up; he began to show the Etienne
that I knew, the Etienne that I love, the Etienne that gave me a necklace with
a pendant of a banana – he calls me “Anna Banana” – the Etienne that I am
sharing my life with now.
And yes, we’re in a relationship now. We had a great fight to get
this through. We had so much to remember and I am regretting the time that I
said this – moving out of Atlanta – was a really bad idea that I have to comply with. I am in
a Diner now, working with Lola, who naturally is very beautiful inside and out.
And I am the Anna that had her French kiss for the first time in the City of
Love.
